Terms of Service

Opinions.ng is a product operated by NeuroDev Labs Technologies(CAC Business Name No. 9430461) ("NeuroDev Labs", "we", "us"), a business registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. References to Opinions.ng, the platform, or the Service in these Terms mean Opinions.ng as operated by NeuroDev Labs.

Opinions.ng is an event-prediction information market. Participants commit funds to express a forecast on the outcome of a real-world public event. We are not a sportsbook, casino, or licensed gaming operator.

Markets settle in one of two ways, each clearly identified on the market page:

• Pool (pari-mutuel) markets — returns are determined by the distribution of forecasts across all participants; pools are funded by participants and distributed pro-rata among correct forecasts.
• Locked-odds markets — your return rate is fixed at the moment you confirm your prediction and is the rate shown to you at that time. The displayed amount is a guaranteed minimum that may increase as opposing forecasts are added; you will not be paid less than the figure shown when you staked.

Each market clearly states the resolution criteria and the source of truth that will be used to settle it. Resolution is final, subject to Section 5.

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use event-prediction markets in your jurisdiction.
• You must provide accurate information at sign-up and during KYC.
• One account per person. Multiple accounts are grounds for permanent suspension and forfeiture of balance.
• Employees of NeuroDev Labs, their immediate family members, and individuals involved in market resolution may not participate in those markets.

Your account has two balances:

• Actual balance (tNGN) — funded by deposits and returns from correct forecasts. Withdrawable to any Nigerian bank account once KYC is complete.
• Bonus balance — promotional credits awarded for sign-up, referrals, protection refunds and promotional events. Bonus balance is not withdrawable until the applicable rollover requirement has been met.

We reserve the right to delay withdrawals exceeding ₦500,000 by up to 24 hours for security review, and to require additional KYC for unusually large flows.

Bonus credits expire 7 days after being added to your bonus balance. Unused bonus credit remaining at expiry is forfeited. Placing a prediction funded in whole or in part by bonus balance does not extend or reset this expiry.

Winnings on predictions funded with bonus balance are split between your actual and bonus balances based on what share of the stake came from bonus credit, calculated per prediction at the time it is placed:

• Stake 90–100% bonus-funded — 10% of winnings withdrawable, 90% returned to bonus balance.
• Stake 80–89% bonus-funded — 20% of winnings withdrawable, 80% returned to bonus balance.
• Stake 70–79% bonus-funded — 30% of winnings withdrawable, 70% returned to bonus balance.
• Stake under 70% bonus-funded — winnings are fully withdrawable.

This split applies to the full winnings amount, not just the profit portion, and is calculated independently for each prediction (and, for a Multiplier, at the ticket level — see Section 5). It does not apply to a stake refunded on a voided prediction, which is returned in the same proportion of actual/bonus balance it was placed with.

Opinions.ng may apply service fees in connection with operating the platform and settling markets. Any amount you receive — whether a return on a correct forecast or a withdrawal to your bank — is the net figure shown to you at the relevant time, and you agree to that figure when you confirm the action. We may change our fee schedule from time to time; continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the current schedule.

A Multiplier is a single ticket combining between two and ten separate predictions across different markets. Every selection must be correct for the ticket to return; if any selection is wrong, the entire ticket is lost. The combined return rate is the product of the locked rates of each selection, fixed when you place the ticket and capped at a maximum payout disclosed at placement.

• A selection whose market is voided (see Section 6) becomes neutral — it is treated as a 1.0× multiplier and the remaining selections still run.
• If every selection on a ticket is voided, your stake (net of the entry fee) and any Boost consumed are refunded.
• Selection counts, minimum combined odds, minimum per-selection odds, one-selection- per-event and maximum-payout limits are enforced at placement and may change.

A Boost is a consumable ticket required to place a Multiplier. Boosts may be granted promotionally, accrued over time, or purchased for a fixed price shown at the point of sale. Boosts have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable except where expressly stated (such as a fully-voided Multiplier). Single predictions do not require a Boost.

Markets are resolved against the source of truth named on the market page. We make our best effort to resolve quickly and correctly. We may void a market — and refund the affected predictions — where an event is cancelled, a result is genuinely ambiguous or disputed, our data source fails, or resolution is otherwise prevented by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Resolution decisions are final after the 48-hour dispute window has elapsed.

• Manipulating, coordinating or attempting to coordinate market resolution.
• Using bots, scripts or automated systems without our written permission.
• Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them to us.
• Money laundering, fraud, or any unlawful activity through the platform.
• Creating multiple accounts to abuse referral or promotional credits.

We may suspend or terminate accounts, void positions, and forfeit balances for any violation of these rules.

Taking positions on event-prediction markets involves financial risk. You may lose the full amount you commit to a forecast. Past results are not indicative of future outcomes. Only commit funds you can afford to lose. If you feel your engagement is becoming compulsive, please take a break and reach out to opng@neurodevlabs.cloud.

We may operate points, leaderboards, contests and prize pools. Points and leaderboard standings have no cash value except where we expressly award a prize. Prize eligibility, scoring, windows and amounts are set by us, may change at any time, and require that you have not breached these Terms. Prizes paid as bonus credit are subject to the rollover requirement in Section 3; cash prizes may require completed KYC. We may withhold or reverse rewards obtained through manipulation, collusion, multi-accounting or error.

Our handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Opinions.ng is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no warranty as to availability, accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose. Our aggregate liability to any user is capped at the amount that user has deposited in the prior 12 months. You agree to indemnify NeuroDev Labs against losses arising from your breach of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time, at our discretion and without prior notice. Where practical, material changes will be notified via email or in-app banner, and you will be prompted to re-accept the updated Terms on your next sign-in; continued use of the platform after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms whether or not notice was given.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lagos State unless required otherwise by applicable law.
